Crystal Palace Updates

Due to the holidays and some unforeseen blizzardry, AbCrack has been posting lightly for the past couple of weeks. In that span, Palace lost at home to Pompey 0-1, but salvaged a point at Spurs via a goal by AJ.

Also, did we mention that Indiana University won the men's NCAA college championship? We did? Oh.

Hoosiers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Indiana 1(3)-1(2) UCSB in the men's final of the College Cup after two overtimes and penalty kicks.

IU's seventh national championship came against an essentially even-matched Gauchos squad that had beaten Duke 5-0 in their semi-final. Congrats to Santa Barbara on a spectacular season. And of course to the Hoosiers and Coach Freitag, who has taken over from the legendary Coach Yeagley with aplomb.

Hoosiers in Final!

Indiana 4-0 Tulsa

The Hoosiers proved too much for Tulsa in this quarterfinal match held in Bloomington, Indiana.

Indiana will join Maryland, Santa Barbara and Duke in the College Cup final four. Looking for its second title in as many years, Indiana may well have to beat a Duke team in the finalsthat beat Virginia 3-0 last weekend.

As Mrs. Absolute Cracker is a Duke alumna, we'll all be watching with increased interest!

Palace 0-1 Charlton

Palace fell to London rival Cahrlton Athletic 0-1 on a goal in stoppage time. Palace are still clear of the drop zone, but just barely.
