Charlton 1-2 Crystal Palace

Palace have defeated London rivals Charlton Athletic 2-1 in the Carling Cup. Palace fielded few starters, so in some ways beating Charlton was even sweeter.

Indiana 2-0 Louisville

A convincing if not spectacular win by the Hoosiers over the Cardinals tonight in Bill Armstrong Stadium. You can read about it here. Great to see another IU win in person.

It was (unfortunately) AbsoluteCracker's first visit to Yeagley field this season. IU completely controlled the first half, and outshot the Cards by close to thirty shots. Still, UofL did not give up in the second half, showing some grit even though they were clearly outmanned. And a special nod to the Cards' 'keeper, who must have felt like a target all night.

Housecleaning

AbCrack has, as you know, been posting sparsley for the last month or two. Yes, we know that all the Euro leagues are in full swing and we've only been focusing on the EPL. And yes, the posts are coming at 1-2 per week.

This rate should be increasing soon, but a hearty thanks to those who check in regularly.
